LARGEST INDIAN ROCK PYTHON FOUND IN MATALE

The biggest python in the world is shown in the photographs BELOW: It belongs to rock python species. It had weighed 87kgs and was 21.7 feet long.  It has been reported that this has been recorded as the longest and the biggest python in the world. 
Among the serpents found in Sri Lanka, python is the biggest of all. The villagers had found this python in Ukuwela,Matale in a jungle and the Wild life officers have released it to Randenigala Sanctuary.  A rock python had been found earlier as well from Sri Lanka and it had weighed only 52kg.
