The Navy today (July 13) seized an Australia bound trawler with 41 passengers on board, including five women and five children.
They were taken into custody 15 nautical miles off the Trincomalee coast by a patrol vessel deployed by the Eastern Naval Command.
The group’s members are believed to be from Vakarai, Trincomalee, Sampur, Chilaw and Negombo.
